About Us

Healthcare That Begins With Connection

At Attune, we believe healthcare should do more than treat symptoms. It should help you understand your body, reconnect with what matters most, and confidently participate in everyday life.

Our approach brings together evidence-informed occupational therapy, education, and practical strategies designed around the realities of everyday life.

We Exist in the Space Between Traditional Healthcare and Wellness

Many people leave healthcare wondering what comes next.

Not because they haven’t sought help, but because they’ve completed treatment, followed recommendations, and still don’t feel like they truly understand their bodies.

At Attune, we believe healthcare should extend beyond treating illness or injury. It should help people build confidence, prevent future problems, and continue participating in the activities that matter most.

Attune was created to bridge the gap between traditional rehabilitation and long-term wellbeing through thoughtful, personalized occupational therapy.

Occupational Therapy Begins With a Different Question

“What do you need and want to do, and what is getting in the way?”

That question changes everything.

Rather than focusing only on a diagnosis or symptom, occupational therapy focuses on helping you participate more fully in everyday life.

Health isn’t lived inside a clinic.

It’s experienced while caring for family, returning to work, traveling, exercising, gardening, preparing meals, and enjoying the moments that matter most.

That’s why occupational therapy is the foundation of Attune.

Meet Dr. Kaitlyn Rambo

Occupational Therapist • Founder of Attune

What initially drew me to occupational therapy was how deeply human the profession felt.

Long before I became an occupational therapist, I understood how important it is to have healthcare providers who understand the realities of your actual life, not just what is happening inside a treatment room. Growing up in a small rural farming town in eastern Washington reinforced that perspective early. Our community mattered deeply and access to resources was not always simple. Growing up in a small town taught me early that people’s health is deeply connected to their daily lives, responsibilities, relationships, and access to support.

I was first introduced to occupational therapy at age 15, when I saw firsthand how OTs help people navigate some of the most challenging and meaningful parts of everyday life. That experience stayed with me and ultimately shaped the next decade of my education, clinical experiences, and the way I continue to approach healthcare today.

I went on to earn my Health Sciences degree from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, followed by my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska!

What I continue to value most about occupational therapy is the ability to truly look at the whole person. The physical, mental, emotional, environmental, and social parts of our lives that all influence how we function and experience the world around us.

So much of occupational therapy centers around the everyday parts of life that people often do not think about until they suddenly become difficult. Sleeping comfortably, gardening, traveling, caring for family, returning to hobbies, getting dressed independently, or simply feeling more confident moving through your day. Those are often the things that shape quality of life the most.

That understanding has continued to deepen through my experiences working across very different healthcare settings. When most hear about my story they often respond with “the best of both worlds” and I sought out those opportunities with that exact intention. I have worked with medically complex patients in acute care and ICU environments at level 1 trauma centers, supported individuals in skilled nursing facilities, and spent years learning within a private practice model focused on movement, posture, pain management, and long-term fascia-informed wellness support.

Each setting taught me something different about health, recovery, resilience, and quality of life.

One of the most formative experiences early in my healthcare career was working in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital with individuals recovering from spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and strokes. What stayed with me most was witnessing how adaptable and resilient people truly are, even during incredibly difficult and life-changing circumstances.

Hospital-based care reinforced the importance of critical medical intervention, interdisciplinary collaboration, and helping people regain function during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Skilled nursing and long-term care settings highlighted how deeply sustainability, independence, and quality of life matter over time, especially when healthcare becomes part of someone’s everyday reality rather than a temporary event.

At the same time, my experience with a private practice exposed me to areas of healthcare that often receive far less attention: prevention, education, movement habits, posture, and the small day-to-day patterns that can significantly influence how people feel and function over time.

What ultimately led me to create Attune was recognizing the gap that can exist between traditional rehabilitation and long-term support for everyday life.

I met many people who technically “completed” therapy, yet still did not feel confident in their bodies or equipped with realistic strategies to support themselves moving forward. Others quietly struggled with pain, mobility limitations, physical changes, or daily frustrations they had slowly started accepting as a “part of aging” or simply something they had to live with.

I believe people deserve more support, education, and understanding than that.

One of my favorite parts of working with clients is helping them better understand their bodies and connect that understanding back to their everyday lives. I believe education matters. I believe prevention matters. And I believe people deserve to feel informed, involved, and supported in their care rather than overwhelmed by it.

I am also a lifelong learner myself. Some of my favorite parts of healthcare are the relationships, perspectives, and lived experiences that come from working with such a wide variety of people over time. Those interactions continually shape the way I think about health, wellbeing, resilience, and what meaningful support can look like for different individuals.

Outside of work, I feel most like myself when I am spending time outdoors, being creative, learning something new, and staying connected to the people and community that matter most to me.

I never want people to feel dependent on healthcare in order to live their lives fully. My goal is to help people feel more capable, more informed, and more supported navigating health and daily life over time.

Occupational therapy is often misunderstood as a profession, but at its core, it is about helping people participate more fully in the things that matter to them. Sometimes that means recovering after illness or injury. Sometimes it means adapting to change. It can also mean improving movement, reducing strain, building awareness, or finding more sustainable ways to care for yourself in the middle of life as it is today.

The perspective that continues to guide my work is simple: health is deeply connected to the realities of everyday life, and people deserve support that reflects that.

More than anything, I hope people feel understood. “For Any Body & Every Body” reflects the kind of care I believe people deserve: thoughtful, individualized, and grounded in real life.
